Eiheiji
On September 29, Fukuyama Taiho Zenji, the 79th abbot of Eiheiji, retired from office for health reasons. He gave himself with great courage to this very high responsibility; may he be deeply thanked for it.
He passed on his office to Minamisawa Dônin Roshi, the founding abbot of Kanshoji. Minamisawa Roshi thus became the 80th abbot of Eiheiji, one of the highest authorities of Soto Zen. Very busy from now on, it will be difficult for him to travel to Europe, but he is still very keen to help Kanshoji and European Soto Zen.
