A man and his son are coming home at night. They pass a field full of melons. The father says to the son: “I’ll take a few. You’ll keep watch and let me know if anyone comes.”

The father goes into the field and picks a few melons. “Do you see anyone coming?” he asks his son, “Don’t you see anyone?” – “No, Papa, only the moon is watching us.”

In the world of appearances, we can hide the depths of our spirit, we can think: “Not seen, not taken!”. In the world of the absolute, our every thought has consequences. Nothing is hidden, there’s no place to hide. The law of cause and consequence is inexorable.

Master Deshimaru said: “The quality of our life depends on the quality of our deep mind.” Don’t stay in the world of appearances, in the world of cheating or lies.
