Who lives here ?
| Those who live at Kanshoji come from many different places, but what they all have in common is that one fine day they became aware that their life was not satisfactory, that it lacked meaning, an absolute dimension.
They felt an aspiration to liberate themselves from their illusions and their selfishness and wanted to live a simple, authentic life at the service of something greater than their own personal advantage.
Whatever their age, sex, culture, their philosophical or religious options, they try and put into practice the Buddha's teaching in their daily life.
Some wishing to commit themselves profoundly to the Buddha's Way will stay for several years. Others who do not yet know this teaching come here to discover it and will stay some days, some weeks, some months...
